Robert S. Wilson received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University, and, his Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University/Thomas M. Cooley Law School. In law school, Mr. Wilson served on the school’s Law Review, and, was a finalist in the American Bar Association Negotiation Competition. He also received the American Jurisprudence Prize Award in Torts.

Mr. Wilson concentrates his practice in all areas of civil litigation, including automobile negligence, premises liability, products liability, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, and, insurance coverage issues. He has served as first-chair trial attorney in approximately 100 jury trials, including high-exposure claims and, complex-litigation matters. He has also tried criminal, and, family-law cases. Additionally, he has successfully argued appeals before several districts of the Illinois Appellate Court.

Mr. Wilson is an active member of the Lake County Bar Association, having served as the Co-Chairperson of the Civil Trial and Appeals Committee from 2009-2014. He has also given several presentations at several continuing legal education courses, including the LCBA annual Civil Trial Seminar. He also was a member of the Association’s By-Laws Committee in 2010-11.

Mr. Wilson is a Certified Arbitrator in the Mandatory Arbitration program of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit.
